South East Equestrian Club is open for lesson bookings.

New clients can only book individual lessons.

All availability is through the booking portal, slots open and fill quickly.

Cancellations do happen so check back in and keep trying for your preferred time and instructor.

In order to keep our lesson prices low we do not have an office administrator full time, so we request all enquiries be sent online and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Do I need any horse riding experience?

No experience is necessary. We start all our riders with basic skills on the ground and on the horse.

I already know how to tack up and ride, do I still need to do the saddling?

All riders starting with us will go over the handling, grooming and tacking up of the horse in their first lesson so we can ensure that you are safe and show you how we do things. If you are competent then in subsequent lessons you can prepare the horse before the start of the lesson.

Can I do a group lesson as my first lesson?

All riders need to do a private before joining a group lesson. This is so we can make sure you can prepare the horse unassisted and also assess your level to determine a suitable group.

Do you run school holiday camps?

We only run school holiday camps for our current clients that have been riding regularly with us. They will need to check with their instructor to sign up. 

​

I don't have any riding gear, what should I wear?

We have boots and helmets available for clients to use. You just need to wear a comfortable shirt, leggings/tracksuit pants and socks.

​

What ages do you teach?

We teach students from the age of 4yrs upwards. 

​

Do you offer agistment?

We have limited DYI agistment at our other facility in Matraville.

We do not offer agistment or boarding at our Malabar facility.
